The story of Naberauli Wines began in 2018 establishing Racha-Lechkhumi as a rare and unique wine-producing region. Naberauli wines are crafted in the village of Sadmeli in Racha, Georgia.
This site preserves the remnants of monks’ cellars, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries.
Naberauli practices organic farming but while avoiding over use of organic sprays and treatments. The grapes rely entirely on natural rainfall - no irrigation - and are hand-picked during harvest, to ensure the best quality.
The winery is entirely powered on the electricity from their own solar panels.
Six-month maceration on the skins, in Qvevri (amphora/clay jars of a style iconic to Georgia) embodies the spirit of Racha’s ancient winemaking heritage.
Notes of dry yellow fruit jam and dried herbs unfold in an earthy, layered bouquet. Light but super well pronounced tannins and a well-balanced palate, leave a deep and long lasting finish.
Sulphites are a natural biproduct of fermentation. As a fermented product, this wine contains sulphites.
